Kannur Uty. Principal Fr. C.A.Thomas precided the meeting Dr.narayan Rao, Professor IIT Mumbai introduced  the topic.Rev.Fr.Jose Chunkan, Manager Christ College gave the felicitation.And the head of the department Mr.M.A .John gave the vote of thanks.                
   There were two technical sessions. The first session was about the Financial Sector  Reforms.It was taken by Dr.Pramod Kumar,University of Pondichery.And the second session was about the Capital Market and Corporate Finance .It was taken by  T.S. Anaantharaman.FCA,MD Peninsular Capital Market.

College Union of Christ college  for the academic year 2002-03
 was inaugurated. The function began at 10 0'clock in the morning(13.11.02).At first the Union members took their oath. The Union was officially inaugurated by Mr.Vinayan, (the famous Malayalam  film Director). Nimmy & Nikhil    (Sing N Win fame Kairali T.V) were the chief guests. Principal Fr. Thomas Chakramackal  presided the meeting.    Mr. Praveen Kumar gave the welcome speech.

In his inaugural address Mr. Vinayan advised the youth to respond against the social    evils. He also said that today's generation is more practical than their own. Nimmy & Nikhil gave the felicitation    After that they sang a song.

 A memento was given to the chief guests by the principal. A memento was also given to     the Foot ball team members who won the Inter collegiate Football tournament. After that Miss.
Archana Vasudev  gave the vote of thanks.After the meeting there conducted   various entertainment programmes by the students.    In the afternoon Kochin Feenix  conducted a 'Ganamela'.

SFI won the college union election in Christ college  held on 24  of this month . SFI got the majority and won the union. SFI won 7 seats and KSU got only 2 seats. The election was calm and successful. The polling began at 9  O'clock in the morning end at 12 o' clock. The counting started at 2 O' clock  and from the
beginning onwards  Students Federation of India got the lead .
 

Christ College:Transalation destroys the beauty of language Sukumar Azhikode said this in his inaugural address.    He was speaking in a two day workshop on Transalation conducted by the English department of Christ college    Irinjalakuda. He also said that transalation is a migration of ideas and an adventerous travelling from one    nation to another.

             Dr. Dhanya Menon, Dr. Jayanthasree Balakrishnan were the other resourse persons. Dr. Jayanthasree    said that transalation is a mirror image of the original . She also said that language itself is a translation.

              In the valedictory function .Mr.K.C.Narayanan(Editor of Bhashaposhini) was the chief guest.He     spoke about the various aspects of transalation and journalism.Dr. E.T.John (HEAD of the department)    vice principal were present in the meeting. Dr.E.T John gave the certificates.

As a part of programmes conducted by the Physics Department t the final year Degree students went on a threeday tour to Mysore&Ooty.The students visited famous places in Mysore namely Woedhar Palace,Museum,Art gallery and Brindavan and Garden&lake in Ooty
